This church was really interesting because we decided to climb to the top of the dome. It is not like the Vatican where they have an elevator and it is well lit. Here it is a dark climb up stone steps all the way. It can get tiring, but the view is so beautiful. It is definitely worth the trek up. Looking out over Florence from the dome is something you must do. The church itself is interesting because of the 3 colours of marble on the outside compared to non-ornate decorations on the inside.
