Kanazawa is on the Sea of Japan in Ishikawa, Japan. Kanazawa was one of the few major Japanese cities not be bombed during World War II so Kanazawa's architectural heritage has been largely preserved. The most famous part of Kanazawa is Kenroku-en, originally built as the outer garden of Kanazwa Castle. Another area worth visiting is the Higashi Chaya District which has kept the look and feel of old Japan with its two-story wooden buildings.



































The places not to miss in Kanazawa are Kenroku-en, Kanazawa Castle and Higashi Chaya district.
I wish we could've stayed longer than two days for there's a lot to enjoy in Kanazawa. One of the highlights was visiting Yachiya sake brewery for a little sampling. Read Full Review
