Separated from Spain by craggy mountains and from the rest of the world by a freezing and moody Atlantic, Portugal is an ideal place to spend a relaxing, soul searching holiday. Friendly people, beautiful scenery, a huge variety of landscapes in a smallish package, marvelous seafood, delicious wines, low prices and elegant yet decaying city make this the perfect place for those who like their luxury but don't mind it a bit rough around the edges. Portugal is a fabulous place to visit particularly in the summer.

I recommend going to the Algarve where the beaches are amazing. And Cape Vincent and Sagres have a stark beauty. It gets very windy at the tip of Europe.

Albufeira and Lagos are fun places to visit. Read Full Review
