There is abundant security on the street with a high visible police presence. Must be mainly for their tourist industry as they depend on it for foreign dollars. The first night I came here it was 95 degrees and there was a sand storm so the sky was filled with a mysterious red haze and the winds were howling. I could barely see in front of my face. It was thrilling and just reinforced the mysteries of being in such a foreign culture. The food here is really quite good. It’s a cross between Indian and Mediterranean food – lots of humus, rice, lentils, fish etc. The ancient artifacts are the primary charm of this city. 3 days max to see it all. Read Full Review
