Overall

10

The exterior of the hotel does not give the interior justice. I found the inside of the hotel inviting and charming, which was not what I expected at first glance from the outside. The cost of staying was fair for what I got and it was clean and comfortable. The brick wall on one side made for a quiet night's rest since it blocked out potential noisy neighbours.

Would I recommend this hotel: Yes

Date of Stay: June 2007

What you remember most

Waking up early and having a nice, relaxing breakfast.

Advice for future guests

Although it seems tucked away, you are only 5 minutes or less away from many restaurants and a major shopping mall. The highway is very close by so it's easy to travel east and west across the city.

Check-In

Check-in was fast and efficient. No problems arose.

Guest Rooms

The hotel put an emphasis on a comfortable night's sleep. Two choices of pillows were available, firm or soft, and they were labeled on the pillows. There was no big, dusty comforter, which made it easy to slip into bed.

Staff Service

Staff was present in the lobby -- front desk, cleaning staff, breakfast staff -- so help was always nearby.

Restaurant/Bar

I always enjoy hotels that include breakfast. The juices and milk were all chilled and a selection of pastries, breads, spreads, fruit and cereal were available to give a quick start to the day. There was no restaurant at the hotel, but there is a steakhouse and a McDonald's within immediate walking distance.

Suitable for Children

Rooms are spacious and clean so you can fit your family. There is no pool at the hotel.

Safety & Security

The hotel is tucked away on a small street in an industrial area. Unless you are walking to the steakhouse next door, I wouldn't recommend walking outside alone. I would feel safer traveling around the area by car.

Check-out

Check-out was fast and efficient.
