The location of the restaurant is partially over water and you can feed the fish. This is a joy. The property was revamped in 2005 and is consistently being fixed. This is a decent hotel that is best used as a stop-over hotel on your way to the other islands. It is conveniently located near the downtown area and the airport which is all you need when you are in transit. Many flights come in very late to Papeete and it's nice not to have to travel too far to your hotel (unlike other resorts that are 30-45 minutes and $$$ away!). Read Full Review

The hotel originally opened in 1960 & the Sheraton gave it a facelift when it reopened in 1999. The décor is romantic Tahitian. The simple, airy rooms have local art & a lagoon, garden, or ocean view. If you’re a good walker you can walk to the village and if not – a ‘truck’ can take you there in a flash. Read Full Review
