After a 14-day road vacation in Texas, this was the last stop before home. We had seen it all and were exhausted. We arrived in Amarillo very late, and the night staff was more helpful and accommodating than I could have imagined. We had stayed in some so called 4-star hotels on this trip and were disappointed. However, the Ambassador Hotel left a positive impression at all levels. Clearly a hidden jewel. This "on-the-way home" hotel turned out to be the best hotel of the entire trip. Great bed and bedding, spacious room, soothing shower head and amenities, a free top-notch breakfast with wide selections, great lobby, easy parking and helpful staff. I traveled to the Ambassador Hotel in Amarillo recently for business. Everything went so well - not one complaint from my meeting attendees. And boy that's unusual! All of my boxes arrived and were accounted for, the meeting rooms were as promised. The banquet staff was very attentive and seemed to know what I needed before I did. The banquet food was good, set up on time and there was plenty. No shortages here. Plenty of things to do at the hotel when my group wasn't together. The pool, fitness center, and a TGI Friday’s at the hotel. I saw many families at the hotel and we all blended in nicely. My attendees didn't feel like they were in the way of families. The rooms were large and spacious. Having free WiFi in the room was great for getting work done in the evenings. I noticed in other reviews that a few people made poor comments about the rooms. Well we didnt' have any problems, the rooms were very updated and well-maintained! As a meeting planner , and a seasoned traveler---I would highly recommend the Ambassador Hotel without question. We were very impressed with the hospitality offered at The Ambassador Hotel.  Our parents live in Amarillo, so we decided to leave the kids with them for a night so that we could celebrate our anniversary.  The complimentary champagne and hand written card for our anniversary was such a kind and unexpected touch, and everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful.  To top it off, we were upgraded to their concierge level.  The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, and we appreciated the use of the fitness center. I work in a hotel in Lubbock and the Ambassador Hotel certainly gives me another reason to be proud to be in the industry. Read Full Review

I stayed at the Ambassador Hotel during a business trip to the Amarillo area. I'm so glad I did. I don't get the chance to stay in many full service hotels when I travel, so I felt rather pampered for this trip. The room was great. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a log. The free high speed internet makes it easy to get work done while away. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant is filled with bountiful selections. I loved the fitness & business center. The staff was friendly and all dressed professional. When I checked out in the morning, the staff was very active, talking to everyone ensuring that they were satisfied with their stay. I was very impressed with their efforts.
