Image Acceptance Criteria

When you submit stills or videos to Zoom And Go, we assign trained image editors to assess them for our Licensing Collection. The assessment is based on the Zoom technical, aesthetic and marketability scales, and the absence of any other problems with the image. These ratings are only a guideline for our editors, and any image may be rejected despite scoring well in all categories.

Technical and Aesthetic
For Stills, the technical ratings are based on 2 areas (exposure/contrast and focus/sharpness), and the aesthetic on 3 (composition, color/saturation, and lighting). For Videos, the technical ratings are based on 4 areas(exposure/contrast, focus/sharpness, compression, and sound quality) and the aesthetic on 3 (composition, color/saturation, and lighting). A rating of 1 indicates poor performance while 5 indicates excellent performance. 3 is considered a passable rating in any single area. Thus if you receive 3 or above in each area, your image is considered to have sufficient quality for Zoom and Go. If any single area is marked below 3 it is likely that your image will be rejected despite its overall final score.

Additionally, if you receive a mark of 3 or less in any area a link to the Zoom Learn section will appear. Clicking on it will take you to the section dealing with that area so you can find out how to improve your images in the future.

Other
This category covers a series of problems which may exist with your submission. If the answer to any question in this section is “Yes”, your submission will be rejected despite the score received from the technical and aesthetic sections.

If the problem encountered was a scanning, wrong image, or other problem you may be able to resubmit the image after fixing them. See the reviewer’s comments, as they may hold a clue as to what exactly was wrong.

Submitting an unacceptable image is immediate grounds for rejection of the image, but can have more serious consequences. If your images has breached the “Content Provider Membership Agreement”, your membership in Zoom And Go could be suspended and all ZoomAndGo Points and rewards in your account frozen.
